Unfortunately, no. We get many requests for free samples and as a small business it would be difficult to do that for everyone. We also feel that to truly know if a particular kava works for you it can easily take multiple servings over multiple drinking sessions. A 1/2 lb bag seems to be just right to accomplish this.

Years ago there was a report of some liver health issues connected with kava use that led to kava restrictions in some countries (never in the US). Subsequent studies have proven traditional kava to be safe and has led to the end of almost all kava restrictions. Kava has been enjoyed regularly by the people of the South Pacific for thousands of years and there is no evidence that people in these cultures suffer higher than normal levels of liver problems.
We do our best to ship all orders within one business day, although when very busy it sometimes takes a little longer. We use USPS Priority shipping which takes 2-3 days after the order is taken by USPS within the U.S. Internationally this service takes 7-10 days, but customs in the destination country can hold it longer. You will receive a tracking number once your order has shipped. Be advised that tracking information for international orders is often not updated by the destination country. Please be aware that if your order is placed over a weekend, it will not be shipped until Monday, the next business day.
Shipping prices vary widely and sometimes change. The best way to figure your shipping rate is to begin your order. You will be given a shipping rate before payment is finalized. This will only take a few minutes and will ensure an accurate answer.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase you may return the unused portion within 30 days for a refund equal to the price of the unused product, minus shipping. This may include a 35% restocking fee depending on the reason for the return. This may sound high but keep in mind that by law we are not allowed to resell a returned product, even if it is unopened.
Of Course, if we made a mistake with the order, or if there is something wrong with the product you purchased, we will issue an exchange at no cost to you.
